Mini-Med School Lecture Series

Mini-Med School is a bi-annual lecture series that meets once a week for four weeks. The lectures, taught by Northwestern Memorial medical experts provide information on subjects studied by medical students. Participants, known as "students," do not need a science background to attend, just a curiosity about medicine and the desire to learn about the latest medical treatments. We encourage you to join us in unlocking the mysteries of the human body through our interactive Mini-Med School classes.

Heart 201 lecture series topics (October 2008)

  • Ethnicity, Gender and Your Risk for Heart Disease
  • Behavioral Heart Health
  • Advances in Medicine and Technology for the Heart
  • Heart Medications and Integrative Medicine

DVDs of our Mini-Med School lectures are available for viewing in the Health Learning Centers. Watch all four DVDs and receive a Mini-Med School certificate.
