Parkinson's Disease

Parkinson's Disease is a progressive neurologic degenerative disorder that causes a certain group of nerve cells in the brain that produce the chemical dopamine to die. The lack of dopamine causes the cardinal symptoms of Parkinson's disease - tremor, slowness of movement, muscle stiffness, and balance problems. At the Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders Center, we provide innovative comprehensive multidisciplinary care for patients and families affected by Parkinson's disease.
